Message from the PTG President:
Dear West Siders,
Thank you to Cat Bauer and her committee for organizing yet another wonderful WS Run!! A little rain did not stop us from having a great time. Thanks to all who supported this important fundraiser and for those who ran on Sunday morning we say, “Well Done.”
The school year is winding down but we still have lots of exciting events to look forward. Our field day and camp out are always lots of fun. The hero project sports equipment drive/tag sale is coming soon so if you are clearing out your garage of sports equipment that your child has outgrown or is just not using anymore, please bring it in to school by Tuesday, May 31st. The tag sale will take place on Field Day. All sales proceeds will be donated the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Nassau County. Kudos to Drew Pultz and his hero project committee for organizing this tag sale. The flyer is attached below.

LOST: Saxophone in its black case. A student at WSS is missing his saxophone and case. Please check at home, maybe your child took it home thinking it was theirs. If so, please have them return it to the main office. Thanks.
Field Day: WS Field Day is Friday, June 3rd. Come cheer for the children while they participate in the various field day activities. The PTG has a nice surprise for the children this year. There will be a PTG sponsored BBQ for the children after the festivities. If you can help during field day or with grilling please contact Cat Bauer bauerfamilytoronto@gmail.com
The sports equipment tag sale will take place during field day so come and shop. All proceeds will go to Big Brothers/Big Sister of Nassau County.
Camp Out: Come join other West Side families for loads of fun and enjoy some quality family time! Set up begins at 3pm on Saturday, June 4th.
Games and activities will begin at 4:30pm. There will be a BBQ of hamburgers and hot dogs and a campfire with s’mores! At nighttime there will be a movie shown on a large screen on the lawn. We will also be serving freshly popped popcorn. Coffee, bagels and juice will be served Sunday morning for our sleepover guests.
Bring your tents, sleeping bags, chairs, flashlights, and bug spray!
Also, do not forget to pack plenty of snacks and beverages for your family.
Please RSVP to the punchbowl invite sent with comment indicating the number of adults and children attending and if you are staying for dinner and breakfast.

ATTN: ALL 6TH GRADE FAMILIES: Mark your calendars!! Monday, June 20th @10am is the 6th grade graduation ceremony at the PAC. Following the ceremony will be the Graduation Party being held at the Harbor Club at Prime from 12-3pm! The Punchbowl invite for the 6th grade graduation party was sent, so Please RSVP! Please send in your checks payable to WSS-PTG to the main office in an envelope labeled 6th grade graduation- Attn: Marilena DiScala as soon as possible so we can have an accurate head count for the venue. Please note on your check how many adults/children you are paying for.
