Message from the PTG President:
Dear West Siders,
We hope to see you all at our annual Ice Skate Night on Sunday, March 6th @6:30pm. Bring the family! If you are looking for something to do that Sunday afternoon, come to the CSH High School Field House to watch the Harlem Wizards play basketball against some of the HS staff and possibly some Varsity senior boys. The flyer is attached below and tickets are sold online or at the door. This is a community event and will be fun for the entire family.
We would like thank everyone who has attended our PTG meetings this school year and we hope that these meetings have provided you with important information and exciting speakers. It’s always a pleasure to have a higher attendance at our meetings. We hope that by posting the agenda and minutes to our website you will use our website as a great resource for information. The next meeting is Tuesday, March 8th @9:30am. The new director of the CSH Library will make a brief presentation and discuss the programs being offered at the library.

Ice Skate Night-

Free admission and skate rental to all West Side families. Helmets are recommended but are not provided (a bike helmet will do!). This is not a drop-off event. Talent Show- It’s that time again, get ready…set…perform, all you wonderfully talented West Side Stars! The 2016 West Side Talent Show will be held on Saturday, May 14th. The show is open to all students, 2nd through 6th grade. *A special note: This year students WILL be allowed to be in one SOLO act plus one group act (sixth grade group act not included). Both Parents and Students should read all the rules before filling out the participation form. There are two mandatory rehearsals plus the dress rehearsal, see form for dates. The participation forms are attached to the Notes and must be submitted no later than 4/1/16. (Late submissions will not be accepted.) Additional participation forms will be available in the office. Applications must be submitted with the $35 fee (per family) payable to WSSPTG which includes the show CD and (1) T-shirt. Additional performers in the same family must purchase additional t-shirts at $10 each per performer submitted with the application (T-shirts will be worn in the finale.) We are sure to have a great show with all the talented students at West Side. If you are doing a musical act, a CD or digital copy of the song must be edited and submitted or emailed to me by 4/1/16, if you would like me to copy and edit the music, please indicate that on the application – also see the “Talent Show Rules” form for more information. Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
