Message from the PTG President:
Dear West Siders,
Thank you to our Cultural Arts committee for bringing in a wonderful speaker who shared with our 6th graders a presentation for Black History Month. On Tuesday, Feb. 9th Max Pollack is coming to do a Rumba Tap performance for our 2nd & 3rd graders.
As part of Operation Gratitude, West Side Kids Care sent care packages and made beautiful Valentine’s Day cards for our troops overseas. During our morning assembly we had the pleasure of a visit from Lt. Colonel David Melendez who spoke about how much the care packages and cards meant to the troops. He was also answering the many questions asked by our students.
These are just a few of the many wonderful programs we are able to provide for our students because of your continuous support.
Please mark your calendars and attend our next PTG Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9th @9:30am in our community room. We will have Mrs. Diehl, our computer teacher, speak with us about the technology our students are using from grades 2-6. We will also have a Focus representative follow up on the presentation which took place at Goosehill on Conquering School Anxiety and tips on dealing with this issue. We hope to see you all there!
Warmest Regards,
Ana
