Message from the PTG President:
Dear West Siders,
The West Side Win Raffle is one of our two major fundraisers which allows us to fund the many wonderful events throughout the year such as: Halloween Dance, Ice Skate Night, Sports Game Night, Ice Cream Social and the Movie Night, just to name a few. The money raised also allows us to provide many more cultural arts programs for our children, which are not in our district budget. Along with the West Side Run held in the Spring, we are able to do all of these things as well as purchase a gift for the school which will benefit our children. Last year we purchased the tables and umbrellas for the patio outside the library. That space has been converted to a comfortable sitting area which may be used on a pleasant day for class instruction or for the friendship club to meet outside for lunch.
With the purchase of a raffle ticket you not only have a chance to win cash prizes but you are also invited to join us at the Win Cocktail Party held on Friday, October 14th @7pm at the Vardy-Stearn residence. There will be cocktails, food, a live DJ and great company! It is always a fun night to see old friends and meet new families. Winners of the raffle will be announced at the party.
Please consider purchasing your ticket today! We want to continue these wonderful traditions and cannot provide all of the amazing events and programs without your support!

Thank you to Ingrid Wright and the parent volunteers for assisting our children on Photo Day!
Photos day proofs were emailed home earlier this week. Please check your email inbox (including your spam folder) for your child’s proofs. If you did not receive your proofs, please email Ingrid Wright at wrights103@aol.com. Orders can be placed online. If you have 3 or more children (across the school district) that you will be ordering packages for; please call Island Photography directly to get a discount on your order.

West Side Win: Raffle Tickets are $100 each with a chance of winning cash prizes. Please send in your checks payable to WSSPTG to the main office in an envelope labeled West Side Win Attn: Edina Bobelian-PTG Treasurer. The party is on Friday, October 14th @7pm. We are sorry but some of the invitations were printed with the wrong date.
Book Fair: Our West Side Book Fair will be held on Oct. 18th & 19th. Please see the schedule attached. All parents are welcomed to shop with their children on their scheduled shopping times. If you are not able to make it for their scheduled time, there is a family shopping time slot on the 18th from 3pm-5pm. Happy Shopping!
Halloween Dance: “Please join us for our Annual Halloween Dance
Friday, October 28th 5:30-7pm!!! It would be great to see everyone dressed in costume. There will be a live DJ, games and even a Photo Booth! There will be pizza served and lots of delicious goodies.
Be advised that This is NOT a Drop Off event!!! This is a family event!!
Parent Volunteers are needed to bring Desserts!
Including:
-Nut Free
-Gluten Free
-Dairy Free
-Sugar Free
We are also need volunteers to donate gallons of water. The kids need to hydrate after all of the dancing!!

Yearbook:Get your pictures in the yearbook!-The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
Here is how you can submit photos online:

• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
