Message from the PTG President:
Dear West Siders,
Welcome back everyone! We hope the children have enjoyed getting back to the swing of things. They came back to find new patio tables and umbrellas by the library which can be used for class instruction, reading outside on a nice day, or possibly having lunch on the porch with the friendship club. Thanks to your generous support we were able to purchase these tables and create a new space for our children to enjoy.
We are excited to see everyone at our Welcome Back Breakfast/PTG Meeting on Monday, September 9th @9:30am sharp. Our Committee Chair meeting will be held before the breakfast at 9am. Our new Superintendent, Mr. Robert Fenter will be at our meeting, so please arrive early and say hello.
The Board and I are looking forward to another exciting year! As always, we appreciate any new ideas or suggestions you may have, so please reach out to us at anytime. Volunteers are always welcomed and appreciated.

West Side Garden Co-op: Our West Side organic garden provided us with lots of delicious veggies and herbs this summer. Thanks to the families who signed up to tend to the garden. When you visit West Side you will see some pictures circulating on the monitor of the children watering and tending to the garden. Thanks to Suzi Berg for keeping the garden tradition alive! Tomato Sauce day will be announced soon.
Thank you to Jill DeMarco and the wonderful families who took a few hours of their day to organize and distribute the children’s school supplies. Thank you to all the families who paid their PTG dues and to those few who have not, please send in a check made payable to WSS-PTG for $25 and send in an envelope labeled PTG dues to the main office ASAP.
The West Side After School Program will begin on September 26th and the programs will run for 8 weeks. The forms will be sent home soon!
Attn: All 5th & 6th Grader Parents: The Westside School Theater Association is hoping your student will continue the “Tradition” with us for this year’s play: Fiddler on the Roof!
Attached is the informational flyer with all the upcoming dates and times. The first meeting is next Tuesday Sept 13th right after school at 3:05pm. We would love to see you at the meeting, but it is not mandatory. If you cannot attend we will send you the syllabus from the meeting along with a copy of the registration form.

SAVE THE DATE: Friday, October 14th @7pm is our annual West Side Win Cocktail Party. Look out for the invitations being sent via your child’s backpack next week. Raffle tickets will be sold at Back to School Night.
