Dear West Siders,
Welcome back everyone! We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday break!
Ice Skate Night has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 6th because they are calling for heavy rain this Sunday. A new evite will be sent in February.
An evite for movie night will be going out soon, so please remember to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Pizza and popcorn will be served.

West Side Theatre Association- The Lion King musical was a huge success! Our 5th & 6th graders did an amazing job and the musical was enjoyed by many. Thank you all for supporting our children and for keeping the arts alive at West Side School!

West Side School Ice Skating Night- HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, MARCH 6TH! A NEW EVITE WILL BE SENT LATE FEBRUARY.

PTG General Meeting: Tuesday, Jan. 12th @9:30am in our community room. Our agenda is posted on our website. Come meet our 3rd & 4th grade Science teacher Ms. Baratta. She will discuss briefly the wonderful things our children are learning in her classroom. Also, Stephanie DiNozzi will educate us on what the CSH Educational Foundation can provide vs. what the PTG’s are able to provide for our students.

Movie Night- Please join us for West Side School’s movie night on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5pm-7pm. We will be showing Hotel Transylvania 2. Enjoy pizza and popcorn while you watch a great movie with your friends. Please RSVP to the evite which will be sent soon. Dress in PJ’s and don’t forget your pillow! This event is for WSS students and their siblings only. Parental supervision is required for all attending-no drops offs please. All WSS students will have a chance to win a raffle prize. 6th Grade Activity: ATTENTION ALL 6TH GRADERS- WS & Lloyd Harbor 6th Grade Get Together. Join your future classmates for some bouncing fun and pizza at Bounce! Sunday, January 24th from 5-7pm. $25 admission. Participation slips have been sent home via backpack.

FOCUS Presents a Workshop: Conquering School Anxiety — Tips for Parents & Students
Special Guest Speaker Meredyth D. Kravitz, Psy.D. will:
Offer test taking tips
Teach us what to say to help our kids stay calm and relaxed
Help us learn to be better prepared for tests
Please join us Wednesday, Jan 27th at 9:00am in the Goosehill Community Room. Light breakfast will be served.

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
