Dear West Siders,
Thank you to Gina Marino and her committee for organizing our annual Holiday Cookie Bake for our West Side staff! The teachers and staff were extremely appreciative and were very excited when they received the beautiful boxes filled with baked treats.
If you are looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend, come see our 5th & 6th graders perform in “The Lion King” at the PAC. The flyer is attached below. What a great way to start off the holiday season!
We should always be thankful for the quality time spent surrounded by the people we love. We wish all of our West Side families a very Happy Holiday break! May the upcoming year bring us all peace!
West Side Annual Cookie Bake Thank You-

West Side Theatre Association- Come support our West Side 5th and 6th graders who will be performing in the legendary Broadway musical “The Lion King” this weekend! Performances will be held at the CSH High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, December 19th @7pm and Sunday, December 20th @2pm. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. Bring the family to support the arts at West Side!
West Side Kids Care:
Thank you to all the West Side families who donated to our annual holiday toy drive benefiting the Helping Hands Rescue Mission. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Because of you, many local children will have warm hats, gloves and gifts this holiday season. Thank you to Liz Franklin for leading our efforts and to Dana Lynch, Lauren Jasinski and Lorena Munyak for helping the children wrap gifts at recess yesterday.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
PTG General Meeting: Tuesday, Jan. 12th @9:30am in our community room. Come meet our 3rd & 4th grade Science teacher Ms. Baratta. She will discuss briefly the wonderful things our children are learning in her classroom. Also, Stephanie DiNozzi will educate us on what the Educational Foundation can provide vs. what the PTG’s are able to provide for our students.
6th Grade Activity:There will be a joint mixer with sixth grade West Side and Lloyd Harbor students at Bounce on Sunday 1/24/16 from 5-7pm. More details to come!

Teach us what to say to help our kids stay calm and relaxed
Help us learn to be better prepared for tests
Please join us Wednesday, Jan 27th at 9:00am in the Goosehill Community Room. Light breakfast will be served.

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
